Situated in Bangor West, Bryansburn Care Home is a modern purpose built 35 bedded care home offering professional Nursing care for those who suffer from Dementia or related illness. We adopt a Person Centred approach to all aspects of care taking into account each resident's unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
Bryansburn offers secure modern care facilities whilst maintaining that homely environment. The home is divide into four intimate units affording residents to relax and dine in smaller numbers. Residents have a choice of four lounge and four dining rooms which feature comfortable and specially designed furnishings. We have a range of comfortable, tastefully decorated and well-equipped bedrooms which we encourage our residents to personalise. Our Chefs pride themselves in knowing the tastes of our Residents and preparing a choice of fresh, nutritional meals and catering for any dietary and cultural needs.
We place great emphasis on social interaction and pride ourselves on the range of activities offered. It’s our belief that social interaction between our residents and staff provides great mental stimulus to our residents which can be far removed from those who live in isolation with only fleeting visits from carers. Our Activity Therapist holds daily sessions of reminiscence type activity programs to provide a therapeutic level of care, with personal choice and individuality paramount. This mental stimulation is of great benefit to those who suffer from Dementia. We carry out a life profile by liaising with our residents and their loved ones in order to find out what their former jobs, hobbies and pastimes were in order that we can tailor activity sessions to suit. Throughout the year seasonally music therapy sessions, parties and events are never too far away. We also facilitate weekly church services from all denominations
