Our Services

Person-Centred Approach

Our care homes follow the principles of person-centred care. There is no one definition of person-centred care however we take a holistic approach to care, that takes into account the whole person – not a narrow focus on their condition or symptoms but also their preferences, wellbeing and wider social and cultural background, rather than focusing on their illness or on abilities they may have lost. Instead of treating the person as a collection of symptoms and behaviours to be controlled, person-centred care considers the whole person, taking into account each individual's unique qualities, abilities, interests, preferences and needs. Person-centred care also means treating our residents with dignity and respect.

Nursing Care

Each of our Homes provides 24 hour Nursing and Residential care for older people who have health needs and either require greater support than can be provided in their current home, or who are recovering from a significant health issue. Our Nursing care is provided by qualified and dedicated nursing teams in an environment specially adapted to each Resident’s needs. Each care plan reflects an individual’s strengths, interests and physical and emotional abilities. Our Nurses also focus on delivering compassionate, individually tailored care of the kind we would expect for ourselves and our loved ones.

Dementia Nursing Care

Burnview Healthcare provides 24 hour Dementia Nursing care for older people who are living with Dementia and who often need greater support due to significant health needs. Our Dementia Nursing care is provided by qualified and dedicated nursing teams in an environment specially adapted to each Resident’s needs. Each Resident receives a care plan which reflects their individual strengths, interests and physical and emotional abilities.

Our Nurses focus on delivering compassionate, individually tailored care, the kind we would expect for ourselves and our loved ones.

Residential Care

Residential care is for older people who find it increasingly difficult to manage at home. We can offer additional support for those who may need some help with daily activities such as eating, washing, dressing and getting around. Our Residential Care is delivered by highly qualified carers and qualified nursing staff. We offer a varied activities programme which offers a true social environment.

Short Term / Respite Care

Short Term or Respite Care is suitable for those who may require a short or temporary stay in one of our care homes or who may require short term care to recover from an illness or operation. It means someone can stay in one of our homes - whether they need residential, nursing or dementia care. We are flexible to your needs so you can tailor your stay from days to weeks.

End of life / Palliative care

At this sensitive time it is important to those who require care, their families and friends that the right care and support is available. Our caring and compassionate teams can give residents and their families all the time, space, and help they need during this difficult period. We can provide the following:

  • Emotional support to both our residents and their families and friends
  • An understanding of our Residents’ wishes to include they’re spiritual and religious needs
  • Practical support and advice from our compassionate and caring staff
  • Nursing support and pain relief

Day Care

Some of our homes have a Day Care services that can assist full time carers who care for a loved one at home. We can provide Day Care from as little as one day per week where those requiring care can benefit of our facilities and care during the day to include all meals. This can provide a bit of extra company during the day along with the social interaction and stimulation that is provided by our Activity Therapists.
